Building of Transitions Life Center
Benmar Construction proudly partnered with Transition Life Center to complete a 6,000-square-foot addition and covered drive-through drop-off area for an existing 6,000-square-foot metal building. This project expanded the facility’s capacity while improving accessibility, circulation, and daily functionality for the organization and the community members it serves.
The project included civil site development and construction of the new building addition, designed to complement the existing structure while creating much-needed space for education, gathering, and support services. The addition included several instructional classrooms, an instructional kitchen, a boardroom, bathrooms, and a large main gathering area designed to serve as a central space for community activities and programming.
Benmar worked closely with the project team to ensure the new addition supported both the operational needs of the facility and the long-term vision of Transition Life Center. Site work included improvements to accommodate the new construction, along with the addition of a covered drive-through drop-off area to provide a safer and more convenient arrival experience.
Inside the new space, Benmar coordinated the integration of new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems into the expanded buildout. These systems were carefully incorporated to support the classrooms, kitchen, restrooms, meeting areas, and community gathering spaces while maintaining functionality with the existing building.
The completed addition provides Transition Life Center with a larger, more versatile facility designed to support instruction, collaboration, and community engagement. Through thoughtful planning, quality construction, and attention to the organization’s mission, Benmar helped create a space that strengthens Transition Life Center’s ability to serve its members for years to come.
