Roofing Project in Ocala, Florida
Originally built in 1926 as a Studebaker car dealership, this property carries nearly a century of architectural and commercial history. The existing roofing system was a cantilevered assembly, which required careful planning, selective demolition, and repair work to preserve the structure while upgrading its performance.
Benmar’s scope included the demolition and removal of the failing roof system, assessment of the existing roof deck, and replacement of deteriorated or rotten decking where needed. Due to the age and unique construction of the building, custom steel components were fabricated and installed to reinforce and repair compromised areas of the roof structure.
Once the substrate and structural repairs were complete, a new TPO roofing system was installed to provide a clean, durable, and energy-efficient waterproofing solution. The completed work restored the integrity of the roof while respecting the historic character and original construction of the building.
